In a climate of anger, acrimony, and adversarial battles, how do we help people bridge the divides? How do we cultivate more empathy, kindness, and connection in a bitterly partisan time?

We’re piloting a new training specifically about how to train young changemakers in uplifting all people in such a polarized, divided nation. It’s about going beyond right and left, and going beyond right and wrong.

Almost all colleges and universities promote the vision of developing better citizens – students who will help others, give back to the community, and do good in the world. How do we do this most effectively? How can we create the greatest positive impact? How can we make goodness go viral on our campuses?

We’ve developed this special training in response to the current political climate, where Americans seem more divided and adversarial than ever. The Transformative Action Institute (TAI) has expertise in developing university programs and curricula that help bring people together across divides. It specializes in teaching the key prosocial skills that every student needs – including altruism, empathy, teamwork, and the type of transformative conflict resolution that uplifts all sides.

The TAI curriculum has been the industry

standard in transformative education

for over 10 years.

This is a dynamic experience where you will be immersed in our highly engaging learning environment. And it’s based on an award-winning model of education that has spread all over the world, including to many of Ashoka U’s changemaker campuses. Indeed, this program recently won the “Innovation Award Hall of Fame” recognition from Ashoka U and the Cordes Foundation for its high impact curriculum.

We have never experienced anything as powerful as the Transformative Education Summit. [This] is the single best experience I could recommend for any educator, social entrepreneur, or concerned citizens serious about transformation on both individual and institutional levels.

Because of TAI, I am more resilient, bold, and innovative leader and entrepreneur. As a result of the lessons I learned through TAI, I was empowered to make a bold commitment to start Sword and Plough and incorporate social impact in every step of our business model. This exciting process has helped me in my life as a social entrepreneur every single day.

Scott Sherman has created a curriculum designed to effectively bring out the creative potential in all those lucky enough to take part in his courses. On a personal level, Scott helped build the Unreasonable Institute, changed my life, and has forever been a cornerstone to our work at Unreasonable.

Daniel EpsteinCo-Founder, Unreasonable Institute

The principles of TAI have been foundational to Educate! and our curriculum in Uganda, which currently reached 25,000 youth across the country. Having been both a student and facilitator of TAI, I can say with complete certainty that it has been one of the great privileges of my life to be introduced to Scott and the principles of Transformative Action.

When Echoing Green first considered the creation of an activity guide that would equip faculty and staff at colleges, universities, and nonprofits, we went straight to TAI. Though it has evolved over time, TAI's contributions remain the backbone of our Work on Purpose curriculum, which is now being used by approximately 800 faculty and staff at nearly 200 colleges, universities, nonprofits and, most recently, corporations.
